Explosives training

The Canadian Police College is the only institution in Canada that offers explosives training to law enforcement. Domestic and international police officers and employees of other accredited agencies can register for these specialized courses. The courses provide basic and advanced skills in explosives disposal and explosives investigations.
Courses are held in Ottawa, but the college can deliver some courses at other locations upon request.

- Digital Radiography (DIGRAD)
- Explosives Familiarization Course (EFC)
- Police Explosives Technician – IED Recognition and Reconstruction (PETIED)
- Police Explosives Technicians Course (PETC)
- Police Explosives Technicians Validation Course (PETVC)
- Post Blast Scene Technicians (PBLAST)
- Tactical – Police Explosives Technician (T-PET)
Other services and courses
In addition to the courses currently offered, our instructors can provide other specialized and advanced training. For example, the college may offer advanced render safe procedures, explosives investigation, police search team, and other training based on interest.
