Description
This intensive three-day course is designed to provide police officers and leaders with a thorough understanding of evidence-based policing principles and practices. Participants will learn how to integrate scientific research and data analysis into their decision-making processes to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of law enforcement operations. The course covers the fundamentals of evidence-based policing, strategies for implementing research findings, and methods for evaluating and improving policing practices. Through interactive sessions, case studies, and practical exercises, participants will gain the skills necessary to apply evidence-based approaches in their daily work.

Eligibility and mandatory requirements
- This program is offered to managers, senior managers, and executives of law enforcement and government agencies
- Applications must include a short (maximum of one page) letter stating why the applicant would benefit from the course
- Applications must include a letter of support from the applicant's manager
- Acceptance or refusal in the program is at the discretion of the Canadian Police College
Assessment
- Participation in all activities
- Re-testing or re-evaluation is conducted at the discretion of the program instructor
