Partnering travel grants
The Canadian Police College offer to cover the transportation costs for non-RCMP students attending a CPC course (workshops not applicable). The travel costs are reimbursed to the sponsoring law enforcement agency, not the attendees themselves. The home department initially defrays the travel cost and gets credited by the CPC against the student course tuition fee.
If you are a student attending a course from a provincial, regional or municipal Canadian police service, you will be asked to provide the following transportation expenses (original receipts required):
Air/train/bus
- One return economy ticket from your police service to the college
- Ferry and toll fees
- Taxi fare from local terminals to the college (the current taxi rate from the airport is a maximum of $45, tip excluded)
- A taxi voucher will be provided, at the end of course, for the return trip from the CPC to the airport, bus terminal or train station
Personal or Service vehicle
- The college will reimburse you for car mileage for one return trip (using approved Government Travel Directive rates from your police service to the college, up to the lowest airfare equivalent)
The college will provide travel expense forms during the orientation of the course. You must complete the form onsite and submit it to your course coordinator prior to final departure.
Please note that the college reserves the right to modify rates as required, without prior notification. The college is not responsible for any administrative costs incurred if the participant changes travel dates or for costs for trips to or from home while on course.
