Forensic Identification Course now equivalent to Ontario’s Forensic Identification Officer course
We’re proud to share that the Forensic Identification Course (FIC) offered at the Canadian Police College (CPC) has been officially deemed equivalent to the Forensic Identification Officer (FIO) course delivered by the Ontario Police College.
This means that the FIC fully meets the requirement of the Community Safety and Policing Act (CSPA) and is recognized as equivalent training for those serving in forensic roles in Ontario and beyond.
This recognition reinforces the high standard and national relevance of the FIC program, and supports greater mobility and professional credibility for graduates.
